If you have lost an item during your rental, please contact our Customer Service team:

To assist us in locating your item(s), please provide as much detail as possible, including:
- Rental Agreement number
- Rental station where you returned the vehicle
- Rental return date
- Your contact email address
- Your contact telephone number
Returning Lost Property
If we locate your lost item(s), you will have three options to recover them. Collection must be arranged within the rental station’s normal operating hours as follows:
- In-Person Collection
- Confirm the date & time you wish to collect your items from the Europcar rental station.
- Provide a valid form of ID (Driving Licence or Passport) before we release your item(s).
- Collection by a Representative
- Confirm your representative's name in advance as the person collecting on your behalf.
- Confirm the date & time they will collect the item(s).
- Your representative will need to present a valid form of ID (Driving Licence or Passport) that matches the name you provided before the item(s) are released to them.
- Courier Collection
- Arrange and cover the cost of your chosen courier service, including any required packaging.
- Provide your Rental Agreement number as a reference to ensure correct item retrieval.
- Confirm the courier reference number, date, and time they will collect your item(s) from the rental station.
Locating and Recording Lost Property
All lost property found in our rental locations is recorded in our Lost Property database.
Vehicle Checks for Lost Property:
- At the point of return: When you return the vehicle, it is checked for lost property. Any items found at this stage will be immediately returned to you whilst you are still present.
- During vehicle cleaning: If an item is found while preparing the vehicle for the next customer, it is handed to the rental office and recorded in our Lost Property database.
Liability Notice: Europcar does not accept liability for any lost items left in our vehicles or premises. It is your responsibility to check and remove all personal belongings before returning the vehicle.
Storage & Disposal:
- All lost property is securely stored at the rental location where it was found for 2 months.
- At some airport locations, lost property is transferred to the airport’s Lost Property section. Europcar will provide a slip number for retrieval.
